Nigeria unveils 65 investment projects worth $78.5bn

President Tinubu has announced a pipeline of 65 projects seeking $78.5 billion in funding, with the World Bank also mobilising up to $5.79 billion in private financing for the country.

President Bola Tinubu has announced that Nigeria has assembled 65 investment projects seeking $78.5 billion in funding, opening the opportunities to local and international investors. The Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele and Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Olayemi Cardoso presented the projects at the Nigeria Investors Forum, held during the 2026 IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok on Friday.

The World Bank Group is working to mobilise up to $5.79 billion in private financing for Nigeria to support investment in agriculture, digital infrastructure and business expansion, the President said. Tinubu framed the investment pipeline as part of the government's economic reform programme, describing it as an effort to create stronger foundations for investment and improve living standards.

The administration said it would work with investors to resolve obstacles blocking viable projects and move them toward implementation, with the aim of creating jobs and expanding opportunities. The President invited both Nigerian and international investors to examine the projects and engage directly with their sponsors through Projects Nigeria.
