President William Ruto has announced a Sh20 billion road construction programme in Nandi County, with plans to upgrade 350 kilometres of roads to improve transport links and help farmers reach markets. During a development tour of the county, Ruto inspected existing roads in Tinderet Constituency and broke ground on a new 17-kilometre road project estimated to cost Sh1.3 billion.
Ruto said the visit focused on development priorities rather than political campaigning. He stated the tour addressed roads, hospitals, markets and electricity in the county.
