Kenyan marketers have a chance to compete with international brands by adopting artificial intelligence, according to industry figures speaking at the Marketing Society of Kenya's Gala 2026 pre-launch event in Nairobi. Technology Ventures Founder and Chief Executive Officer Vikas Mehta said AI was making marketing tools available to smaller teams that previously would have needed much larger budgets and staff numbers.
Mehta explained that AI shifts competitive advantage away from simply accessing information toward asking better questions and using insights effectively. He said a small marketing team with the right tools and skills could now match the output of much larger competitors. The technology allows companies to develop more effective campaigns and improve customer experiences, he added.
