I&M Bank Uganda Limited has partnered with comedians Patrick "Salvador" Idringi and Dr Hillary Okello to sponsor the 2 Kings One Mic comedy show, scheduled for Friday, October 23, at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The event will feature the two performers alongside live music and entertainment aimed at audiences across different generations.
The comedians said they had spent months preparing for the show and wanted to give audiences something beyond their social media skits. Salvador stated that the production aims to demonstrate the value of collaboration in comedy, with the two performers working together to entertain rather than compete. Dr Okello described 2 Kings One Mic as a distinctive comedy experience focused on delivering laughter and creating lasting memories for fans. The show will be hosted by Dr Mitch Egwang and performed entirely in English, with Janzi Band handling musical performances and DJ Tony Wallace providing music throughout the evening.
Annette Nakiyaga, I&M Bank Uganda's Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, said the partnership reflects the bank's commitment to supporting local talent and engaging customers beyond traditional banking services. "Salvador and Dr Hillary need no introduction. They are among the best in the country and beyond, so this is an opportunity for I&M Bank to support the arts, celebrate Uganda's entertainment industry and be part of something our customers will genuinely enjoy," Nakiyaga said.
General admission tickets are available at Shs100,000, while MTN Mobile Money customers can purchase tickets at Shs80,000. Table packages are priced at Shs3 million and Shs5 million. The sponsorship highlights the role of private-sector support in promoting Uganda's creative arts and expanding opportunities for local entertainers to reach audiences.
