Dangote Cement Plc has appointed Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and UBS Group AG as bookrunners for its planned listing on the London Stock Exchange. The company, currently valued at more than $12 billion on the Nigerian Exchange, is seeking to raise as much as $1 billion through the secondary listing, following an investor roadshow and Capital Markets Day held in London.
The cement producer's financial performance has been strong. For the six months ended June 30, the company reported group revenue rose 21.4% year-on-year to N2.51 trillion, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation increased 25.8% to N1.19 trillion. Profit after tax climbed 22.7% to N638.5 billion, up from N520.5 billion in the same period of 2025.
Dangote Cement operates across 11 African countries and has installed production capacity exceeding 55 million tonnes per annum. Management views the London listing as a way to establish a transparent global valuation benchmark while keeping its primary listing in Lagos. The company aims to tap into deeper pools of international capital and expand its institutional shareholder base through the international listing.
