Airtel Money Tanzania customers should expect temporary service outages this weekend as the company upgrades its platform. The maintenance is scheduled to run from 10pm on Saturday, October 17, until approximately 8am on Sunday, October 18, 2026, with some services unavailable during that period.
The company said the upgrade aims to deliver faster transaction speeds, improved security and better overall reliability. Andrew Rugamba, Airtel Money Tanzania's managing director, said the platform improvements would benefit customers. The operator has tried to schedule the work to minimise disruption and has asked customers to contact its support team if they have difficulties during the downtime.
