Champion Breweries showcases expanded drinks range at ART X Lagos

The brewer is deepening its African expansion through a partnership with the continent's leading contemporary art fair.

Champion Breweries Plc is displaying its widened beverage portfolio at ART X Lagos 2026, the 11th edition of the continent's foremost contemporary art and culture event running from 5 to 8 November in Lagos. The brewer's participation reflects its second consecutive year supporting the fair, which this year operates under the theme 'A New Chapter, A New Decade,' and explores how African cultural traditions inspire new artistic expressions. Champion's expanded range comes as the company builds on its brewing heritage while moving into new beverage categories and markets across the continent.

The company's African expansion has accelerated through the acquisition of the Bullet brand portfolio, which strengthened the group's presence in ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages and energy drinks and extended its commercial footprint across 14 African markets. Eric Idiahi, Group CEO of Evercorp Industries and Director of Champion Breweries, said that businesses have a responsibility to support the creative people and platforms that keep cultural expressions alive. "Culture is one of the most powerful ways we express who we are, where we come from and what we aspire to become," Idiahi stated. "It lives in our art and music, but also in the everyday experiences we share."

Champion's partnership extends into music through ART X Live!, the fair's flagship music and visual art experience on 7 November, with Bullet as the featured partner brand. The evening will showcase a new generation of African musical voices, including Kunmie, Lulu and Taves, curated by Lanre Masha to celebrate artists drawing on the continent's musical traditions while developing new sounds and forms of expression. Visitors can experience the Champion Brands Lounge during the fair's programme on 6, 7 and 8 November.
