Kenya is experiencing a significant fresh milk shortage that has depleted supermarket stocks in major cities including Nairobi and prompted some retailers to ration supplies. Retail prices have risen around 6% as a result of the supply crunch.
The government is announcing changes to KCC factories as part of a new milk supply plan to address the shortage.
