Britania wins five awards at East Africa brand quality event

The food and beverage company's brands recognised across juices, sauces, soft drinks and biscuits at ceremony in Kampala.

Britania Allied Industries Limited has won five awards at the 2026 East Africa Brand Quality Awards, with its brands recognised across multiple product categories at a ceremony held on October 16, 2026, at Hotel Africana and Convention Centre in Kampala. The awards represent recognition for the company's range of consumer products serving different occasions and preferences.

YoJus, TopUp and SunSip each won Platinum awards in the children's natural fruit juice, tomato sauce and paste, and non-carbonated soft drinks categories respectively. Splash received Gold in the natural fruit beverages category, while Britania Biscuits won Silver in the confectionery and biscuit products category. Together, the five accolades span the company's product portfolio from beverages to sauces and biscuits.

Ali Ebraik, chief executive of Britania Allied Industries Limited, said the achievement reflected the company's commitment to quality and consumer trust. "Every brand in our portfolio carries a responsibility to the consumer and to the Britania name behind it. Receiving five awards is a proud moment, but our daily task remains the same: to make products people can rely on," he said. The company attributed the recognition to efforts across its manufacturing, quality assurance, sales, marketing and distribution teams.

Victor Akatwijuka, the company's marketing manager, said the awards provided an opportunity to strengthen consumer awareness of Britania as a corporate entity behind individual brands. "Consumers may first know us through Splash, YoJus, TopUp, SunSip or our biscuits. We want every positive experience with those products to build their confidence in Britania," he said. The company said its focus will remain on maintaining manufacturing standards, developing products and improving consumer satisfaction.

For consumers in Uganda, the awards signal that established brands they may already use meet recognised quality standards across beverages, sauces and biscuits.
